What is st antuan kilisesi?

St. Antuan Kilisesi (Saint Anthony Church) is a Catholic church located in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, Turkey. It was built in 1907 by Italian architect Giulio Mongeri in neo-Gothic style and is considered as one of the most beautiful examples of Catholic architecture in the city. The church is named after Saint Anthony of Padua, a popular saint among Catholics.

The interior of the church is decorated with stained-glass windows, frescoes, and statues. The high altar and the pulpit are made of marble, and the organ in the gallery is original to the church. The church has a capacity of about 1,500 people.

During World War I, the church served as a hospital for wounded soldiers, and in the 1950s it was used as a theatre before being returned to the Catholic community.

St. Antuan Kilisesi is open to visitors and is a popular tourist attraction in Istanbul. It holds daily mass and other religious services, and is also used for music concerts, art exhibitions, and other cultural events.
